Kristen KJELLMAN MARSHALL

Kristen Kjellman Marshall is Managing Partner at velocityHUB. Kristen and her team serve as consultants, trainers and executive coaches to some of the world’s leading companies, universities and entrepreneurial, growth-oriented businesses. Kristen and the velocityHUB team offer consulting & training services that drive revenue and build leaders for some of the world’s largest companies. Kristen leads velocityHUB’s Victory Academy, a series of leadership development programs specifically focused on maximizing the potential of the emerging generation.

Prior to velocityHUB, Kristen launched her career at the sports equipment, footwear & apparel giant Nike, driving successful account growth across business units. Kristen worked diligently to provide the greatest experience & Nike brand recommendations for clients like the Chicago Cubs & White Sox Stadium Shops, Equinox, Soul Cycle, J. Crew, Barney’s New York and Paragon Sporting Goods. She was the vision and energy behind the rapid growth of the Nike lacrosse category, covering 13 accounts across 12 states. Kristen supervised & directed 24 lacrosse specialty account team reps and led an over 80% growth in team business. Kristen was named the 2008 National Sales Rookie of the Year after growing Licensed sales business by 30% and simultaneously opening & establishing the Lacrosse Specialty business in the Central & West regions.

Kristen is a nationally renowned women’s lacrosse player, speaker & public figure, achieving remarkable feats in her athletic career and serving as an ambassador for the game. She spent 5 years making appearances through competition, marketing campaigns and clinics sponsored by Nike and promoting Nike lacrosse business. She played on the United States Women’s National Team from 2007 to 2011, winning the FIL World Cup Gold Medal in 2009 and receiving a All-World Team Midfielder nod. Kristen was part of the Northwestern women’s lacrosse team where she was a 3-Time National Champion (2005, 2006, 2007), 4-Time First Team All-American and 2-Time Team Captain. In 3 different years, she was recognized as the top collegiate player in the nation as Tewaarton Trophy honoree and Honda Award Winner. Kristen was also named the Sportswoman of the Year by the Women’s Sports Foundation. In January of 2013, she was inducted into the Northwestern Athletics Hall of Fame.

Kristen serves as a community leader & national ambassador for women’s sports. She is a volunteer with the Women’s Sports Foundation, a national nonprofit that is committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles for young girls. She supports the program by giving public talks and coaching clinics at various after-school programs, most frequently as part of the GoGirlGo initiative. Kristen is also a volunteer for City Lax, a local nonprofit dedicated to introducing and growing the game of lacrosse in New York City.

Kristen received her bachelor’s degree from the Northwestern University, earning a degree in Communication Studies.
