KINGSTON, RI, March 12th, 2015 – On Tuesday, March 10th, Velocity Performance, a leading provider of business consulting & professional training services, partnered with the University of Rhode Island to bring professional development to veteran student-athletes.

Through programs like the Victory Brand presentation offered by Velocity, we have been able to offer opportunities to encourage leadership & professional development that will help accelerate their careers.”

On Tuesday, March 10th, Velocity engaged nearly 40 student-athlete leaders in the Victory Brand program. The discussion centered heavily on the transition from athletics to career.

The Victory Academy programs are an extension of Velocity’s Leadership Academy offering built for executives, professionals and emerging leaders in companies large and small, from the Fortune 100 to Inc. 500 businesses. The Victory Academy works with college academic and athletic programs to develop leadership traits and professional skills, and ultimately maximize the potential of the participants.

Amanda E. Rogers is the Associate Partner at Velocity Performance and the Executive Director of the Victory Academy, a leadership-training program for colleges, high schools and youth groups. She works diligently to help develop young leaders and propel them to Victory. Rogers is also the Executive Director of the Girls’ NH Tomahawks, an elite lacrosse program.
